Professional Background
John is the Managing Partner of Pitcher Partners Melbourne. He has extensive experience in advising clients on a broad range of taxation issues, on both a domestic and international level.
John joined Pitcher Partners in 1998 and was admitted to the partnership in 2000. He has significant experience in advising both public and private clients on tax issues arising from structuring, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and also in liaison with revenue authorities.
Throughout his career, John has gained specific experience and expertise within many industries including the property industry which led to his appointment as co-chair of the firm's Property and Development Group. Currently, John is a committee member representing CPA Australia on the ATO's National Tax Liaison Group - Capital Gains Tax Sub Committee, and is also a leader of CPA Australia's Capital Gains Tax Centre of Excellence.
John is a regular presenter at seminars conducted by the Taxation Institute of Australia, CPA Australia and Taxpayer's Australia.
